Supervised Family Time means that a trained member of staff will be present while you spend time with your child.
The purpose of supervision is not to prevent you from enjoying time together. It provides a safe environment in which relationships can be maintained while ensuring your child's welfare remains the priority.

The supervising member of staff may:

• Observe the interaction between you and your child.

• Offer support or guidance when appropriate.

• Help with activities or practical arrangements.

• Ensure the agreed Family Time plan is followed.

• Record relevant information about the session.

• Intervene if there is a concern about your child's safety or wellbeing.

• The level of supervision and the arrangements for Family Time will depend on your child's individual circumstances.

If you do not understand why your Family Time is supervised, you should speak with your child's social worker.
